At last we have arrived! After our 8 hour journey, we made it to Dae
Bui Se Le Ko, the village where we will be staying for remainder of
our trip. Words can not fully express the beauty here. Everywhere I
turn I am captivated by the people, scenery, animals, and most
importantly what God has accomplished throughout these hill tribes.

Our first morning was spent watching the children from surrounding
villages gather at the school house for the start of their day. There
they lined up uniformly and stood at attention while they raised their
flag, recited their national anthem, and said the Lord's prayer. I
could not hold back the tears. How moving it was to hear children, as
young as three, pray to our Lord in their native tongue!

From there the students filed in to the out door dining hall for
worship. I thought the tears had ended, oh how I was wrong. The flood
gates had opened and the tears pored at the sound of the children's
voices singing perfectly in sync, worshiping. Even at such young ages
you could hear and see the passion in each child as they sang amen,
hallelujah. All I could think about was how great is our God! The
singing children combined with the inexplicable beauty of nature
surrounding me made for an experience I will never forget.

Next up we all went to work. Over the first two days the Thailand team
accomplished so much! Including pouring the cement and foundation for
the boy's new restroom, painting the dining hall, laying the
foundation for a water storage tank, framing and starting a new plant
nursery, built the frame structure for a new organic fertilizer
facility, and hand made 53 bricks!!

God has made huge transformations here through ITDP. The hill tribes
are now utilizing clean water, sanitation practices, sustainable
agriculture, and have an education system in place. Brick by Brick,
shovel full by shovel, change has been brought to these villagers far
beyond our understanding. With each brick comes the light of the Lord
and it shines bright all over. In all the work that has been done and
continues to happen here, the people of Thailand's Northern hill
tribes can see the Lord through it all and that makes every ache and
pain worth it.
